CSA Membership Philosophy
The Society of Certified Senior Advisors is committed to providing ongoing and
meaningful support for all of our Certified Senior Advisors (CSAs). The education
and designation you receive when you become a CSA are just the beginning of the
member relationship with SCSA. We want your business to succeed and so we continuously
provide you with plenty of support.
HIGHLIGHTS OF CSA MEMBERSHIP:
Growing your business – We do this by making available to you opportunities
to keep learning about the senior market and information on marketing techniques
that are essential to reach that target audience.
- Webinars and free resource papers on the SCSA website speak to the business
development needs of our members. Webinar topics include: Making the Most
of Your Marketing Dollars and 10 Tips to Grow Your Business Through
the Social Web. Free resource paper topics include: Succeeding With
Seniors Means Bucking the Trends.
- SCSA also provides plenty of applicable content in the form of white papers,
guides, booklets and resource papers with which you can professionally reach
out to your prospects, clients and colleagues to support their need for information.
Topics include: Should you be a Caregiver? and Medicare Coverage & Costs
Overview.
Active involvement connects SCSA and members – This interactive approach
is unique to SCSA. We strive for active involvement with our members and between
our members. This is a proven technique for SCSA and because we know this works,
it is a high priority for us. To make this easy for members, we provide a platform
for members to be seen and heard. Examples are:
- The CSA Blog – CSAs have an open invitation to post actual blog posts
related to their area of expertise or they can make a comment on other CSA
Blog posts. When you share your knowledge on the CSA Blog, the audience who
sees your posts and comments are more likely to connect with your message
because they too are CSAs or have an interest in the senior market. You get
immediate feedback and interaction.
- CSA Verifier – This is a locator tool which helps CSAs or seniors
find CSAs in their local vicinities. CSAs use this tool to connect with other
CSAs. It even has a message function so CSAs can contact each other easily.
It's easy to reach out to fellow CSAs in other parts of the country.
- Education Representatives – CSAs are provided with their very own
Education Representative (ER) who is a SCSA staff person. This ER is a personal
guide to SCSA and acts as concierge to acquire all of the benefits of CSA
membership. ERs even help CSAs connect with each other to foster professionally
beneficial relationships. Service with a CSA smile.
Members speak and SCSA listens – Our goal is to respond to member requests,
and we work hard to provide the information members need to be more effective
in their businesses. Because our members are on the frontlines doing business
with seniors every day, they know what they need to be successful. Often times,
we create content about a subject for which our members have expressed a need.
Examples are:
- We produced webinars that are available to members on our website on 'Surprising
Things You Don't Know About Wills' and 'Alzheimer's for Families'.
- We have written white papers such as ‘How Health Care Reform Affects
Seniors' based on member requests for handouts for their clients. Many
of these written works can be co-branded with member contact information and
logos.
The SCSA Commitment
More than most membership-driven organizations, SCSA is committed to knowing
how we can specifically help members succeed. Our interactive community of members,
education representatives and SCSA staff reinforces the importance of member
involvement to promote an optimal professional environment for doing business
with seniors and positioning for growth in the expanding senior market.
