Overview of Materials
Course Textbook
The Certified Senior Advisors textbook, Working with Seniors: Health, Financial and Social Issues is the foundation of the CSA course. It is an easy-to-use, on-the-job reference guide that you can count on as a valuable resource long after you’ve earned your designation.
The textbook’s 23 in-depth chapters explore the key health, financial and social issues that most impact seniors’ lives today. This timely and insightful information is backed by solid research and illustrated with numerous stories and examples.
In addition, the textbook provides lists of resources particularly helpful for seniors that CSAs can draw on when serving their senior clients. The textbook’s final section presents strategies for CSAs to build their practices, including information on marketing to seniors and guidelines for following ethical business practices when dealing with seniors.
Participant Workbook
The Participant Workbook is the study guide that accompanies Working with Seniors: Health, Financial and Social Issues. The workbook helps students integrate the material and prepare for the CSA exam. Study exercises highlight key terms and concepts and feature multiple-choice review questions for each chapter.
Powerpoint Notebooks
PowerPoint Notebooks are available to those in the live or web classes who want a page-by-page printout of the PowerPoint slides with space available to write thoughts and comments as the instructor is presenting.
Audio CDs
Want to listen to the course in your car or on your ipod? These CDs were made especially for students like you. Listen along to the same high quality instruction as you would get in class. Our expert instructors were recorded as they lectured during actual CSA web classes. Each faculty lecture is 50 minutes.
CDs with Video
Want to watch the instructor presentations without the internet? You’ll love our Video CDs which have the same high quality instruction as you would get in class. Our expert faculty were videotaped as they lectured during actual CSA web classes and then recorded on a set of CDs with their individual PowerPoint presentations. You can follow along with each topic just as if you were sitting in the online classroom. Each class session is 3 hours.
