• CE courses, seminars or workshops approved or offered by a national trade, industry, licensing or regulatory association, agency or organization such as the CFP Board (Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards), NASBA (National Association of State Boards of Accountancy), NASD (National Association of Securities Dealers), NASAA (North American Securities Administrators Association), NAB (National Association of Boards of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators), the SEC (U.S. Securities Exchange Commission), etc.
• State-approved insurance and other professional CE courses
• CE courses, seminars or workshops approved or offered by accredited universities and colleges
• WebCE courses

• American Society on Aging
• A national industry, trade, licensing or regulatory association, agency or organization such as the CFP Board, NASBA, NASD, NASAA and NAB (see the list of CE course providers above for definitions of these acronyms)
• Federal and state departments of professional regulation
