Volunteer for Seniors
By volunteering to help seniors, CSAs will gain a broader
understanding of the issues older adults face - and learn more about the organizations
available to help seniors and their families.
- CSA CE credit hours: One hour of
volunteer work earns 1 hour of CSA CE credit.
Providing direct care for a senior relative or family member can be included as volunteer experience for up to half of the
maximum of 9 allowed credits - 4.5 credits.
- Reporting your volunteer hours: Members must track the
number of volunteer hours they work, including dates, times, names of the organizations
and individual contact names. SCSA will randomly audit members’ volunteer records
every year.
